This project began in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to brighten the holiday season for residents affected by lockdowns and isolation. What started as a small act of kindness blossomed into a heartfelt tradition, made possible by the generosity and support of so many. Thanks to your contributions, we’ve been able to spread the joy of Christmas to the residents every year since.
I’ve always believed that a little extra kindness can go a long way, and together, we’ve accomplished something truly special. From decorating trees to delivering thoughtful gifts, every moment has been filled with heart and meaning.
While I’ve loved bringing Christmas cheer to the residents over these past five years, I’m excited to explore something new in 2025. The lessons learned and the connections made through this project will continue to inspire me as I take on new ventures.
Here’s a glimpse into what it took to make this project happen each year:
Organizing, shopping and gathering supplies
Hours spent putting everything together, wrapping presents, creating arrangements, to stringing beads on the light strands
Organizing space for collecting gifts and decorations throughout the year
Time spent creating homemade cards
Collaborating with volunteers for donations and help with wrapping
Coordinating gifts to ensure every resident felt included and gifts as personalized as possible
Coordinating activity with the residents and delivery of gifts
Overcoming challenges, from winter weather to scheduling hurdles
Each year brought its challenges, but it was all worth it to see the smiles and feel the gratitude of those we served.
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this project. Your kindness has made a lasting impact, and I’m deeply grateful to have shared this journey with you.
Here’s to new adventures and more opportunities to spread love and joy in the year ahead!
